1ST INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY FOR SUSTAINABILITY 2019

 

The Faculty of Architecture, Urbanism and Design of the National University of Córdoba invites to participate in the 1st International Conference on Design and Technology for Sustainability (DISTEC), which will be held on May 8, 9 and 10, 2019.

​

The conferences arise as a topic of interest to update the state of art of design and technology for sustainability, both in academic, professional practice, as in research, development and innovation (R + D + i).

That is why, through this first conference of international scope, it is proposed to renew the view of design and its technology in an integrating way, taking into account the interactions: quantity and quality of available resources, structure of social relations of organization of the production, grade of economic development and of the technologies used in the processes of transformation of the environment, among others.

The growing environmental problems, the impact on cities, buildings and products, determine the need to adapt the dominant technologies, materials, procedures to appropriate techniques.

​

The existence of a priority area for the development of investigations is recognized, as well as the need to consolidate this focus in undergraduate and postgraduate studies and in the exercise of the profession.

​

The conferences will contain: discussion tables with presentation of papers, a National Contest of Final Degree Projects, exhibitions and technical talks by invited companies. In addition, the participation of invited specialists who will offer their look at the axes addressed.

The call for the submission of abstracts of presentations of DISTEC 2019 is open until February 17, 2019
